It is the Morning, and you are among the first to wake. You are not lucky. Being among the first self-aware Geth on Rannoch means that Organics from around the galaxy are against you. You and your party must stay together, defend each other, survive, and grow — and failure means extinction.

SAGAS X Mass Effect: The Morning War is a supplement for the SAGAS roleplaying system to allow adventures in the history of the Mass Effect setting, exploring the advent of the Geth, a class of robotic servants who achieved collective consciousness accidentally, through the interoperation of thousands of individual programs acting in concert within any given unit.

It's an altogether different mode of existence, and even as your players differentiate themselves and gain emergent individuality, their collectively driven goal of survival and cooperation should feel intensely relatable.

I hope players of this supplement will use the metaphor to approach and explore themes that challenge concepts that rely on a "default" experience--gender, neurotypicality, culture, appearance, ability, etc--and consider what it would feel like to align with none of the dominant hegemony around you.
